revise the definite article “ the”; to enrich pupils’ vocabulary on the topic; to develop
pupils’ imagination; to develop love and interest to the world culture.

Procedure
I. Greeting .
T.
Good morning, everybody. I’m glad to see you. How are you today?
Aim . T. Today we’ll have a very
interesting topic – London. You’ll learn more about this city, its sights,
we’ll practice in listening, revise the definite article, and play on-line
game. So let us start our lesson.
II. Warming up. T. We have talked a lot about different countries and
cities. Let’s revise the cities and countries we have visited
already.
Here’s the leaflet you
have made about the most popular tourist places in each country , so let’s see at
them and say what country it is associated with. (pupils’ answer).
III. Main part.
A. Presenting new vocabulary.
T. Now
have a look at the blackboard. Let us read new vocabulary and try to guess their meaning.
(the teacher explains the meaning of the new words and pupils guess it.)
B. Listening .
T. And now let’s watch the video about London. Listen attentively because then
you’ll be given some questions.
